Ermington West Public School is a school where the future is created every day. Staff, students and community members are dedicated to ensuring every student has the foundations in literacy and numeracy which are essential for ongoing success.
Student driven learning is a key ingredient of the culture of EWPS. Students are Leaders and Learners. They design curriculum offerings, teach other students, set challenging goals and tasks for achievement. One day per week is dedicated purely to Kids Curriculum, where students decide which 'electives' they will attend. Currently GE Electrics Australia (coding) and the RSPCA (animal welfare) are teaching courses to our students. Student voice is real and tangible at EWPS.
Our school values the opportunity to be a part of the Cumberland Community Connection, where school leaders, staff and students are forming a partnership in learning and leading.
